Crystal Healing is a technique that employs stones and crystals as healing tools.The practitioner places crystals on different parts of the body, often corresponding to Chakras, or places crystals around the body in an attempt to construct an "energy grid", which is purported to surround the client with healing energy. When the stones are placed in the area of the Chakras, the colour of the stones may correspond to the colour which is associated with the corresponding chakra. Going from the tail bone to the top of the head, the colours are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. Stones may also be used at the feet in an attempt at grounding the individual, or held in the hands. Practitioners may also use tools such as crystal wands, which are placed near the receiver's body, or near a certain 'blocked' chakra.

            Crystals can help with relaxation, self growth, stress reduction, increased self confidence, heightened awareness & self-awareness, increased spirituality & restore balance to mind, body & spirit. Crystals also assist the body in shattering & throwing off that which is causing infection or disease. The energies from crystals react from our aura of energy, energy in the area (office, home and vehicle) & make the balance of energies. They create strong energy fields, which enable us to be charged with their energies, they activate our abilities, soothe & comfort, heal & balance through the purity & directness of their beams. 

            Crystal Therapy is the ancient art of laying-on-of-stones. Gems, stones and crystals are laid on the body over the chakra points. Each chakra resonates to a particular color, so by laying a stone of that color over the chakra, the chakras open, align and blend with one another. When the Chakra System is balanced, the physical body is able to innately self-correct and heal.

Crystals bring Color and light into the aura and into the physical body via the chakra system and the subtle layers of the body through the principle of Vibration and resonance. Crystals can also be used in specific grid patterns in various forms of sacred geometry. These sacred geometric grids create pillars of light opening the body to multi-dimensional awareness and understanding.

Crystal healers claim that every living organism has a "vibrational energy system," which includes chakras, electromagnetic fields around your body known as an aura, subtle bodies and meridians. By using the appropriate crystals one can allegedly "tune" an energy system or rebalance energies, thus improving well-being due to the vibrations produced by the crystals, according to color, chemical composition, atomic structure and overall physical form. Using the vibrations of the crystals a trained practitioner can allegedly move, absorb, focus, direct and diffuse energy within the body, using the perfect structure of the crystal for the body to emulate. Crystal healing also allegedly gives the body a chance to relax, which may aid in the body’s natural abilities of the immune system.

The earliest records of crystal healing come from ancient Egypt. The Ebers papyrus states the medicinal uses of many different gems. Healing with crystals is also recorded in India's Ayurvedic records and in traditional Chinese medicine from around five thousand years ago.
